Located in Floriana, The Mall Gardens is a historic 17th-century garden, ideal for a relaxing walk, reading, or spending time before or after visiting Valletta.
The Mall Gardens serve as a gateway to Valletta, with a straight promenade connecting Floriana to the capital. This pathway links the Triton Fountain with the Christ the King monument, lined with trees and ponds. Built in 1656 by Grandmaster Lascaris for leisure, the gardens are named after the Knights of St. John’s favorite game, Maglio—a sport similar to golf.
As you stroll through, you’ll also find statues of notable Maltese figures.
