Circle Gardens stands out as one of the few gardens designed around a specific theme. Created by architect Peter Zammit, its concept features circles within circles, symbolizing the social and biological aspects of human life. In addition to providing leisure and entertainment, the garden offers an enriching experience through three artworks by artist Joseph Barbara, which together represent a trilogy of life:
1. Iċ-Ċrieki tal-Univers, Radial Construction (The Circles of the Universe)
2. Iċ-Ċrieki Olimipiċi, Homage to the Olympics (The Olympic Circles)
3. Iċ-Ċrieki tax-Xogħol, Past, Present, Future (The Circles of Work)
These pieces embody the themes of Nature, Passion, and Reason, illustrating the importance of balance in our lives.
This project was a collaboration between the Ministry for Family and Social Solidarity and the Żejtun Local Council. Situated between the Ta’ Ganza and San Girgor housing estates, the garden spans approximately 3,000 square meters.
