More Information

Hastings Gardens, located in Valletta, sits atop St. John’s and St. Michael’s Bastions, offering stunning views of the surrounding area. Less frequented than the Upper and Lower Barrakka Gardens, it provides a more relaxed atmosphere, perfect for enjoying scenic vistas of Marsamxett Harbour, Sliema, and Manoel Island. The garden features a beautifully restored fountain and is named after Francis Edward Rawdon-Hastings, Malta’s governor from 1824 to 1826. A monument dedicated to him stands within the garden, adding a historical touch.
