Located in Floriana, The Mall Gardens is a historic 17th-century park, ideal for a relaxing walk, reading, or unwinding before or after visiting Valletta. Serving as a gateway to the capital, the gardens feature a tree-lined promenade linking the Triton Fountain to the Christ the King monument. Built in 1656 by Grandmaster Lascaris for leisure, they are named after the Knights of St. John’s favourite game, Maglio, a sport similar to golf. As you stroll, enjoy statues of notable Maltese figures throughout the gardens.
