More Information

Madonna tal Vitorja Garden in Pembroke has been inaugurated, turning a 2,250 m² tarmacked area into an accessible green space for the neighbourhood. The project shows how underused urban areas can become places for relaxation and recreation. Works included new paving, benches, fencing, solar lighting, new pathways, and using an existing reservoir for irrigation. Invasive plants were removed, soil was reused, and recycled stone blocks were used for structural works. The garden now features 67 trees, including a six metre, 4,000kg carob at its centre and around 655 shrubs, creating a natural, welcoming space for the community.
